Brisk mornings are saying it’s almost Fall and I like it!
Before I get into the marvelous this morning, I want to address the events that occurred at the Norwalk Oyster Festival on Sunday. First off, it was an epic fail on my Fall bucket list, but I did not attend. My friend Brianna did and shortly afterwards, I heard there was an accident on the swing ride in the Kids Zone. Unfortunately, there were injuries to young children which is always very sad and scary, especially for parents. I’m saying extra prayers for these families and children, and ask that you do the same!
This was my first experience at Elements in Darien and it was wonderful! I went along with my friends Amanda and Mia. We tried the Absolute Beginners class and boy am I glad we did! The instructor was extremely helpful and it helped us ease into the moves. I’ll be heading back soon to use the remaining 9 classes in the package.
I also tried a new class at The Darien YMCA called STRONG cycle. It is a combination of spin and TRX. It was awesome and challenging and naturally, I loved it. I’ll be recapping these two experiences this week so stay tuned.
Some marvelous Fall-inspired things…
Marvelous Fall nails. I bought a new to me Essie shade, Carry On. Love it! It’s a bit like Wicked, but not as red.
Marvelous Fall scents. Lit my new apple pumpkin candle.
Want to know my candle secret? I buy them from Walmart. Yes, Walmart! They all smell amazing and are super cheap. There’s my tip for the day!
Marvelous baking. I concocted a new recipe! It’s a Paleo chocolate chip cookie with no added sweeteners. They’re more cake-like but still delicious.
Holler and I’ll share the recipe soon!
No Sunday Funday football this weekend but I’ll squeeze some in soon!
Did you do participate in any Fall-like activities this weekend?
What’s marvelous in your Monday?
