These bags and it’s contents hold a special place in my heart.
However, hot on it’s tail is the Old Navy active-wear line. While their clothing is obviously more reasonably priced, their quality and styles are quite comparable to Lulu. I’m slowly accumulating quite a bit of their items from pants to tanks to bras.
Now, when it comes to workout gear, I’m quite particular and have always had difficulty finding pants that fit me properly. I’m a shortie and therefore, can’t wear regular pants because they’re always so darn long. When I get capris, they’re sometimes too long to be considered capris. Sigh.
I have purchased pants from Lucy and Lululemon in the past but their costs add up, especially when you’re on a single lady budget. I was so psyched when I went into Old Navy and tried on their pants just for fun. I wasn’t convinced they’d be flattering but I was so wrong! I bought the compression capris for only $20! I originally purchased them in gray but now also own them in purple.
Obviously, they are still capris on me and the best part is that they do not ride high. I hate THAT!
Don’t mind the mess behind me. Also, if you’re into tucking your iPod (or keys) into your pants, have no fear, because there is a back pocket in the waist band.
So yeah, I basically love their capris. BUT, I also love their sports bras. I’ve been wearing them for years, mainly because they have adjustable straps, are snug, and come in some pretty sweet colors and patterns. Sorry, but no pics of me in my sports bra.
I appreciate that Old Navy takes the time to recognize recent trends in activewear and makes the items affordable! My single lady budget and wallet truly love it. And it just so happens that while browsing their website, I noticed their line of activewear is currently on sale (up to 40% off). #thatshitcray
Are you dedicated to a specific brand of activewear?
Do you own any Old Navy activewear items?

I buy old navy clothes for their price but have never tried their active wear. sounds cool!
Definitely check it out next time you’re there. Extremely comfortable and affordable.
All these blog posts about Old Navy’s workout gear are definitely getting into my head. I need to check this out! I can’t justifying Lulu right now budget-wise so this would be a good alternative.
Their styles are definitely modeled after Lulu and other higher end brands so you can get the same style and fit for a much cheaper cost! It helps that I have my Old Navy credit card too so I earn bonus coupons! haha. #frugal
I just went to old navy and came back with a bucketload of stuff for like $30. They really do have some pretty nice workout clothing. I’m not a huge fan of their other stuff but their sports bras are some of my favorite! (Besides the target ones)
C9 from Target, right!? Love those too!!
Girl you have nice abs! All these Old Navy posts kind of make me want to check it out!
You’re sweet! They’re in rehab post holiday!
I went to Old Navy yesterday at lunch for workout gear.
Of course a half an hour later I walked out with one pair of workout pants and quite a few non-workout things. However the workout pants were on sale for $6.99!!!
I tried the pants you have on but didn’t love the rear view, but that’s just me, I always have that problem. It’s my body, not the pants.
They are always having a sale! I love it! Ha, my rear view is not the hottest, but I’ve been working on my pancake butt. SQUATS!
Love the pants you found! Um but I am more obsessed with your lululemon zip
Haha, their zip ups are my fav!! That particular one was on clearance on their website at the end of Summer. Their “sale” items are still expensive. :\
I was gonna say, totally seems like it was just your mom’s bday! So cute, do they do joint celebrations? I love Old Navy activewear! I purchased a pair of capris like you have (only black) and a printed white tank with green flowers a couple years ago. I LOVE them still! I wore the capris to spin on Wednesday in fact!
My parents never like to make a big deal out of their birthdays but I usually take them to dinner. It’s such a bummer that their birthdays are immediately after the holidays though…
Yeah I like my bdays spaced out from holidays!! I am glad mine is in March.
